An opportunity to work on strength and balance with event rider and coach Sue Chadwick  at Northallerton Equestrian Centre.

Suitable for all levels, please state height in the special requests AND the height of your horse

Groups of up to 4 for 60 minutes. Casual dress and correct standard hat. Times from 10 am going into the afternoon, dependent upon numbers. Whilst every effort is made to meet special requirements, please note this cannot be guaranteed.

Class 1- Christmas Starters- 30cm clear round. Rosettes to all clears.

Class 2- Reindeer Stakes- 40cm on or off LR

Class 3- Mistletoe Madness- 40/50cm- jump as many jumps as you can clear in 1 minute.

Class 4- Christmas Pudding Pairs - 50cm pairs. 1 full round each.

Class 5- Santa Stakes- 60cm

Class 6- Christmas Cracker Pairs- 70cm pairs. 1 full round each.

Class 7- Snowman Stakes- jumps 70/80cm- jump as many jumps clear in 1 minute.

Class 8- Elf Accumulator- course of 12 jumps starting at 70cm and gradually increasing in height. Last fence will be approx 1m.

Class 9- Reindeer Hop- 90cm

Classes run as a single phase.

Prizes and rosettes to 6th place.

Fancy dress encouraged.

Prizes to the best fancy dress in each class.

Pre entry only via horsevents.

Times published on horsevents the day before.

Open to all pony club and non pony club members.

SHOWJUMPING COMPETITION

Northallerton Equestrian Centre

Non Pony Club members are welcome in ALL Classes.

ALL NON PONY CLUB COMPETITORS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE TO COMPETE.

1.      Correct dress (Jackets – No Hoods) should be worn and Hats to correct Pony Club standard must be worn at all times when mounted

2.      The organisers do not accept liability for any loss or damage, injury or illness to any persons or property whatsoever.

3.      The indoor collecting ring will be limited to 6 entries prior to jump time.

4.      Course Walks will be available prior to each class - times to be advertised. This will be the only opportunity to walk the course.

5.      The organisers reserve the right to alter or amend the schedule/rules at any time.

6.      The judge’s decision is final. Any queries/objections must be taken up within 30 minutes of the class finishing with £20 cash deposit.

7.      No skipping out in the car park and please take all your rubbish home.

8.    Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis

Join Sue Chadwick and Jane Graham for some Arena Eventing practice. 1 hour show jumping followed by 1 hour XC on a surface including a mini competition at the end of the session. 

When entering, please include in the special requests the height you compete at. The training is suitable for all levels from 80cm. Each session will be in groups of up to four. Casual dress and correct standard hat with body protector. Whilst every effort is made to meet special requirements, please note this cannot be guaranteed. Times will be sent out 48 hours before the event.

 

All heights are qualifers for the BE ACE championship at Aintree Equestrian Centre 29th May- 1st June 2025

OPTIONAL additional Dressage test  - test CAN be read out. If you enter the dressage you are still able to qualify for the BE Arena Eventing Championship. You cannot enter just the dressage alone

Dressage will be in the small outdoor arena and your test will be approx. 30 mins before jumping

Riders will jump a course of 6-8 show jumps followed immediately into the WH/XC phase of 8-10 simulated XC fences, including a skinny and a corner, all on a surface. 

You do NOT have to be a BE memeber to compete. Competitors who qualify for the BE ACE Championships at Aintree Equestrian Centre will receive a British Eventing ACE Championships qualification email from the BE Office on receipt of the results at BE from the Qualifying venues. Competitors will have 14 days to become a member (minimum PAYG) of BE to retain their qualification.  Failure to do this will result in the qualification being passed down the line to the next placed combination that have not already qualified. 

British Eventing Rules for tack and rider equipment for XC including body protectors

First Aiders will be present

ODE PRIZES based on number of competitors, if 5 1st £40, if 10 2nd £35, if 15 3rd £20, if 20 4th £10 etc. Rosettes to 6th

Arena Eventing (no dressage) PRIZES based on number of competitors, if 5 1st £35, if 10 2nd £20 , if 15 3rd £10 etc

SJ/XC- disobedience or knockdown 4 penalties, 2nd refusal 8 penalties, 3x refusals = elimination

The whole round will be TIMED. Every commenced second under optimum time. 0.4 penalities for every second over the optimum time and 5 seconds under the optimum time. Speed 350m per minute. No stopwatches allowed. 

Fall of horse or rider, starting before the bell, retaking an obstacle already jumped, error of course or exceeding time limit will result in an elimination

County Dressage qualifiers for North, East and West Yorkshire, Co Durham and Northumberland.
The winning team individual from each respective county will qualify for the inter-county dressage championships at Hickstead in May 2025

Teams of 3 or 4 with the best 3 percentage scores to count
A horse/rider combination may only compete in one team.

At the Inter-county finals, each county will be represented by the following horse/rider combinations who have qualified in this competition:
 - 1 x Prelim Restricted Rider
 - 1 x Prelim Open Rider 
 - 1 x Novice Rider 
 - 1 x Restricted Team 
 - 1 x Open Team
All team riders automatically count as individuals. Placings are not passed down.

Note that it is the new 2024 BD tests being used
