Perfect your arena eventing skills with Will Murray using the brilliant facilities at Northallerton.

When entering, please include in the notes the height you compete at. The training is suitable for all levels from 80cm - 1m. Each session will be in groups of up to  four and last for an hour. Casual dress and correct standard hat with body protector. Times from 10 am into the afternoon, dependent upon numbers. Whilst every effort is made to meet special requirements, please note this cannot be guaranteed. Times will be sent out 48 hours before the event.

Will Murray is a successful local eventer. He is a British Eventing Accredited Coach and coaches the British Eventing Under 18s in the northern region.

The winning team individual from each respective county will qualify for the inter-county dressage championships at Hickstead in May 2025

Teams of 3 or 4 with the best 3 percentage scores to count
A horse/rider combination may only compete in one team.

Team & Individual County Qualifiers for the County Championships at Hickstead, May 2025

At the Inter-county finals, each county will be represented by the following horse/rider combinations who have qualified in this competition:

 - 1 x Novice Rider 
 - 1 x Restricted Team 
 - 1 x Open Team
All team riders automatically count as individuals. Placings are not passed down.

The fences start at 70cm and go up to 1.05cm with novice technicality. 22/02/2025 NEC Arena Eventing 70cm-100cm inc ACE BE Qualifier  
 

All heights are qualifers for the BE ACE championship at Aintree Equestrian Centre 29th May- 1st June 2025

OPTIONAL additional Dressage test  - test CAN be read out. If you enter the dressage you are still able to qualify for the BE Arena Eventing Championship. You cannot enter just the dressage alone

Dressage will be in the small outdoor arena and your test will be approx. 30 mins before jumping

Riders will jump a course of 6-8 show jumps followed immediately into the WH/XC phase of 8-10 simulated XC fences, including a skinny and a corner, all on a surface. 

You do NOT have to be a BE memeber to compete. Competitors who qualify for the BE ACE Championships at Aintree Equestrian Centre will receive a British Eventing ACE Championships qualification email from the BE Office on receipt of the results at BE from the Qualifying venues. Competitors will have 14 days to become a member (minimum PAYG) of BE to retain their qualification.  Failure to do this will result in the qualification being passed down the line to the next placed combination that have not already qualified. 

British Eventing Rules for tack and rider equipment for XC including body protectors

First Aiders will be present

ODE PRIZES based on number of competitors, if 5 1st £40, if 10 2nd £35, if 15 3rd £20, if 20 4th £10 etc. Rosettes to 6th

Arena Eventing (no dressage) PRIZES based on number of competitors, if 5 1st £35, if 10 2nd £20 , if 15 3rd £10 etc

Entries close 48hrs prior to competition (unless full)

SJ/XC- disobedience or knockdown 4 penalties, 2nd refusal 8 penalties, 3x refusals = elimination

The whole round will be TIMED. Every commenced second under optimum time. 0.4 penalities for every second over the optimum time and 5 seconds under the optimum time. Speed 350m per minute. No stopwatches allowed. 

Fall of horse or rider, starting before the bell, retaking an obstacle already jumped, error of course or exceeding time limit will result in an elimination

On a Tuesday Eve we aim to encourage all levels. We run a professional, friendly event.

Tues Eve SJ will be OUTDOORS weather permitting. Competition will be single phase. 12 fences including jump off.

Course built by level 3 BS Course Builder, Judge is listed BS judge

60cm will not start before 17:30

70cm will start at 18:30

PRE ENTRY - TIMES GIVEN

All pre entry, entries close Monday at midnight, times available Tues am all on www.northallertonequestriancentre.co.uk

Prize Money 1 per 5 entries. 

1st £14, 2nd £10, 3rd £8, 4th £6, 5th £5, 6th £5

Prize money refunded onto your entry

NO ROSETTES on a Tues Eve SJ we have placing cards for 1st to 6th

If you withdraw before entries close I refund your entries minus 1 x £5 admin fee

TRAINING THURSDAY (10am - 8pm)

Following your dressage test you will get verbal feedback to include development & training suggestions & your completed test sheet

  • Run through any dressage test 15mins, any height SJ £35
  • Run through any test  (15 mins) £25.   
  • Run through tests up to BD Elementary incl FSM, BE Intermediate, all BRC & PC tests catered for (30 min slots) £40, exta £5 to add on SJ
  • Freestyle Music floor plans & music preparation (see attached schedule)

ALL STAFFED - courses put up and down, encouragement given if required - all pre entry & times given
